Oneta is built in an authentic Fijian style on 70 acres of beautiful beachfront property on Ono island. There are no roads on Ono so the only access is by boat.
Stretched along the long expanse of Oneta beach are five lovely bures (burr-rays) and two beautiful villas.

The five bures are all named after local dive sites and are all a little different in size and shape.
Two of the bures are on the hillside behind the resort with amazing views of the ocean, the Great Astrolabe Reef and nearby islands. Two more bures are on the beachfront where you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. And the two bedroom bure sits amid tropical flowers and fruit trees of the garden.
The five bures are all named after local dive sites and are all a little different in size and shape.

The beautiful villas are on the resort’s far end with their own private beach. Originally built by our friends Spencer and Karin, these two villas are among the most luxurious structures in all of Kadavu.

Manta rays are some of the most magical creatures in the ocean and at Oneta they swim around practically at our doorstep. A manta ray cleaning station is just minutes away by boat and snorkeling with the mantas is an unforgettable experience.
The Astrolabe Reef is still one of Fiji’s best kept secrets. As a snorkeler you’ll find vast gardens of coral of all shapes, sizes and colors. And more fish than you can count.
We have special snorkel spots all along the reef within 10 to 40 minutes by
boat. Don’t snorkel too fast so that you can witness all of the grand spectacle of life on the reef.

Oneta Resort is located on a pristine outer island and we value and protect the natural beauty around us.
In 2022 Oneta Resort became one of the few resorts in Fiji that is fully carbon-neutral! The addition of three new solar power systems means that we only run our diesel generator in an emergency. We are working on importing electric outboard motors for our boats but in the meantime, we purchase carbon offsets for that carbon footprint from our boat engines.
All waste is sorted and recycled, our garden produces lovely fresh vegetables, we minimize any single-use plastics, and we work with local leadership to help sustain the larger Ono community.
